My name is Chantry (pronounced like a tree that grows Jackie Chans). I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado and the owner of Candor Counseling. I graduated from the University of Northern Colorado in 2020 with a Masters in Clinical Mental Health counseling. I was lucky to find that I love working with trauma throughout my internship and first years of practice. Since then I have discovered a huge enthusiasm for OCD and the overlap between OCD and trauma. I love building on my clients’ pre-existing strengths and creating a plan that works for the,. I recognize the importance of building a strong working relationship as we go through the process of treating trauma, OCD, and comorbid conditions.

I got trained in EMDR through an EMDRIA approved program in 2020. You don’t have to use EMDR to overcome trauma, but it’s a great option and I am always happy to discuss whether it may be a valuable tool in our work. I got my OCD training through the IOCDF in 2025 and have been very excited to see how much functioning OCD clients get back relatively quickly through this work.

I’m a Colorado native and went to Manitou Springs K-12 before attending Metropolitan State University of Denver. Outside of my work, I enjoy traveling, reading, hiking, biking, doing arts and crafts poorly, and petting any animal that will let me.
